    If you are starting from the central area of Riga, head towards the Old City (Vecrīga). Locate the Freedom Monument (Brīvības piemineklis) and walk down Brīvības iela. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela. Turn right onto Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela and walk until you reach the next intersection with Herdera laukums. Turn left onto Herdera laukums and you will see Riga Cathedral (Rīgas Doms) directly ahead at Herdera laukums 6.

  • Public Transport

    From the central bus station (Rīgas autoosta), take tram line 4 towards 'Tirgoņu iela' or tram line 11 towards 'Mežaparks'. Get off at the 'Kronvalda parks' stop. From there, walk towards the park and cross the street onto Brīvības iela. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela. Turn right and walk until you reach Herdera laukums, where Riga Cathedral is located.

    If you are near the Central Market (Centrāltirgus), exit the market and head towards the Daugava River. Walk along the riverbank, enjoying the views. Continue walking north until you reach the bridge (Vanšu tilts). Cross the bridge and turn left onto Rātslaukums. Continue walking until you reach Herdera laukums, where you will find the Riga Cathedral.
