Experience Sigulda New Castle

Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Sigulda train station, exit and turn right onto Pils iela. Walk straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass several shops and cafes along the way. Continue until you reach the intersection with the main road (A2). Cross the road and continue straight on Pils iela. The Sigulda New Castle will be on your left shortly after passing the entrance to the park. Look for the large castle structure at Pils iela 16.

  • Public Transport

    If you are at the Sigulda bus station, exit the station and head towards the main road (A2). Take bus number 1 or 2 from the bus stop located just outside the station. Get off at the 'Pils' stop, which is about 5 minutes away. Once you get off, walk back towards the direction of the bus. The Sigulda New Castle will be visible on your left at Pils iela 16.

  • Bicycle

    If you have rented a bicycle, start from the main square of Sigulda. Head towards the Turaida road and follow the signs for the castle. Biking along Pils iela is scenic and safe. The castle is approximately 2 kilometers from the main square, and you will reach it in about 10 minutes. Once on Pils iela, keep an eye out for the castle on your right.
