Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the central square of Talsi, which is located near the Talsi Town Hall. From the Town Hall, head north on Rīgas iela for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Lielā iela. Turn left onto Lielā iela and continue for approximately 300 meters. You will see a sign for Ķēniņkalns on your right. Follow the sign and take the path leading up the hill. The walk will take you through a wooded area, and after about 15 minutes of walking, you will arrive at Ķēniņkalns, which offers beautiful views of Talsi.

• Cycling

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Talsi. Start at the Talsi Town Hall and head north on Rīgas iela. After about 600 meters, turn left onto Lielā iela. Continue for approximately 300 meters until you reach the sign for Ķēniņkalns on your right. Follow the sign and take the path leading uphill. This route is about 2.5 kilometers long and should take around 10 minutes of cycling, plus time to enjoy the scenery.

  Although public transport options are limited for reaching Ķēniņkalns directly, you can take a local bus from the Talsi bus station. Look for a bus heading towards Talsi Municipality. Get off at the nearest stop to Ķēniņkalns, which is Talsi Pilsēta. From there, walk back towards the center of Talsi, and as you reach Lielā iela, look for the sign leading to Ķēniņkalns. The total travel time will be around 30 minutes, depending on bus schedules.
