Walking
From the center of Talsi, head south on Pasta iela towards the main square (Talsu laukums). Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Tirgus iela. Turn left onto Tirgus iela, and follow it until you reach the bus station (Talsi autoosta). From the bus station, take bus number 4 towards Laidze. Inform the driver that you would like to get off at Roceži. The journey will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Roceži, walk towards the windmill, which is a short distance from the bus stop.

Cycling
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the bike rental shops in Talsi. Start your journey by heading south from the center of Talsi towards Pasta iela, and then follow the same route towards Tirgus iela. After reaching the bus station, take the road that leads out of Talsi towards Laidze. The cycling route follows the main road (A10) but make sure to take the turn-off towards Laidze after about 4 km. Keep an eye on the signs for Roceži, and you will find Laidzes vējdzirnavas a short ride from there.
