Walking
From the center of Talsi, start at the Talsi Castle Hill (Talsu pilskalns). Head southeast on Lielā iela towards Durbes iela. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Jāņa iela. Turn left onto Jāņa iela and walk until you reach the Talsi bus station. From the bus station, take bus number 642 towards Mērsrags. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Mērsrags, disembark at the stop closest to Bākas iela. From there, head east on Bākas iela for about 500 meters, and you will find Mērsraga bāka on your left.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle in Talsi. Begin your journey at the Talsi Town Park and head southeast on Lielā iela towards Durbes iela. Continue straight until you reach the Talsi bus station, then take the bike path that runs parallel to the road towards Mērsrags. Follow the signs for Mērsrags, which will lead you through scenic countryside. The ride is approximately 15 kilometers and will take about 1 hour. Once you reach Mērsrags, navigate to Bākas iela by heading east for about 500 meters, and you will see Mērsraga bāka.
Public Transport
To reach Mērsraga bāka by public transport, start at Talsi bus station. Check the schedule for bus number 642, which departs for Mērsrags. The journey takes around 30 minutes. Upon arrival in Mērsrags, get off at the nearest bus stop to Bākas iela. Walk along Bākas iela, heading east for about 500 meters, and soon you will arrive at Mērsraga bāka.
