Walking
From the center of Talsi, start at the Talsi Castle Hill (Talsu pilskalns). Head southeast on Lielā iela towards Durbes iela. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Jāņa iela. Turn left onto Jāņa iela and walk until you reach the Talsi bus station. From the bus station, take bus number 642 towards Mērsrags. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Mērsrags, disembark at the stop closest to Bākas iela. From there, head east on Bākas iela for about 500 meters, and you will find Mērsraga bāka on your left.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle in Talsi. Begin your journey at the Talsi Town Park and head southeast on Lielā iela towards Durbes iela. Continue straight until you reach the Talsi bus station, then take the bike path that runs parallel to the road towards Mērsrags.
