Talsu Pilskalns, also known as Klosterkalns, is an ancient hillfort located on the eastern shore of Lake Talsi in the town of Talsi, Latvia. The hillfort rises 32 meters above Lake Talsi and was once one of the largest and most fortified hillforts in ancient Courland. Archaeological research indicates that the site was inhabited from the 10th to the 14th centuries, with evidence of nine construction periods. The hillfort features a 7.5-meter-high rampart on the southern side and 1-meter-high ramparts on the northern and eastern sides. Song festivals, ethnographic dancing, and St. John's Day bonfires are held here.

Walking
From Talsi Town Square (Talsu pilsētas laukums), head southwest on Rīgas iela. Continue straight for about 500 meters until the crossroads with Voldemāra Ruģēna iela. Turn right onto Voldemāra Ruģēna iela. Walk for approximately 300 meters, and you will see Talsu pilskalns on your left. The entrance is marked and easily visible.

From Talsi Town Square (Talsu pilsētas laukums), walk to the nearest bus stop. Take a local bus heading towards Talsi Pilskalns. The journey is about 10 minutes. Disembark at the stop closest to the hill fort, and walk for about 5 minutes to reach Talsu pilskalns. Bus tickets cost approximately €1-€2.
