Getting There

    From Deir el Qamar, head southeast on Route 51 towards Niha. Follow the signs for Niha. After approximately 10 km, you will arrive at the village outskirts. Look for signs directing you to the Fortress of Niha. Parking is available near the fortress. There is no entrance fee for vehicles.

  • Public Transport

    Take a bus from Tripoli to Sidon or Baalbek. Inform the driver you are heading to Niha, and they will drop you off at the nearest stop. From there, you can either walk (about 2 kilometers) or hire a local taxi to reach the fortress. Expect to pay around 5,000 LBP for the taxi. To reach the Shouf Biosphere Reserve entrance via public transportation, take a shared taxi (service) from the nearest town or village to Al Shouf Cedar Nature. The fare typically ranges from 5,000 to 15,000 LBP depending on the distance.

  • Walking

    If you are already in the village of Niha, walk towards the center and ask locals for directions to the fortress. It is situated a short distance from the village center. Follow the signs leading to the fortress, and enjoy the scenic views along the way. The walk takes approximately 15 minutes.
