Parking is available in the village, especially near the main square, but it can be limited during peak season and festivals.

    To reach Bkassine via public transport, take a van or bus from Beirut to Saida. Sawi-Zantout buses depart frequently from the Cola intersection in Beirut to Saida. From Saida, you can hire a service (shared taxi) or a private taxi to Bkassine. The cost for a service from Saida to Bkassine is approximately LBP 20,000-30,000 per person, while a private taxi may cost around LBP 50,000-70,000. Bkassine, also known as Beit Kassin, which translates from Aramaic-Syriac to “village of the disappeared,” is located 70km from Beirut in the Jezzine District. This village is an authentic gem of South Lebanon, celebrated for its preserved natural environment and traditional houses. The village is surrounded by an enchanting, century-old pine forest that extends over two-and-a-half square kilometers, the largest in the Middle East, and was classified as a protected area in 1996. Visitors can explore the village's central square, characterized by its red-tiled houses, small souk, and the beautiful Saint Takla Church. The nearby Church of Our Lady of Salvation, built in 1855, and Saint Joseph Monastery are also worth a visit. Every September, Bkassine celebrates the Saint Takla Festival, a popular event in the South. Hiking enthusiasts can enjoy two trails that offer breathtaking views.
