Walking
From the center of Baalbek, head towards the main road (Beirut-Baalbek highway). Walk north until you reach the Baalbek Bus Station. Here, you can catch a shared taxi or service taxi heading towards the town of Tannourine. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to go to Baatara Gorge Waterfall. Once you reach the area near the waterfall, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to reach the entrance, following the signs.
Taxi
From anywhere in Baalbek, you can easily hail a local taxi. Tell the driver that you want to go to Baatara Gorge Waterfall. The journey will take about 30 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure you agree on a fare before starting your trip, as taxis in Lebanon typically do not use meters. Once you arrive at the parking area near the waterfall, you will have a short walk (about 300 meters) to the waterfall itself.
Bicycle Rental
If you are feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from a local shop in Baalbek. Head north towards the main road and follow the route towards the Baatara Gorge Waterfall. The ride is approximately 10 kilometers and offers beautiful views of the countryside. Just be cautious of the traffic and make sure to wear a helmet. Once you arrive, park your bicycle and walk the remaining distance to the waterfall.
