Taxi
If you're in Beirut and want to reach Jounieh, you can take a taxi. You can easily find a taxi in central Beirut near landmarks like Martyrs' Square or the Beirut Souks. Simply tell the driver 'Jounieh', and they will take you directly there. The journey takes about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.
Bus
To travel to Jounieh using public transportation, head to the Charles Helou Bus Station, located near the Beirut Port. Look for buses heading to Jounieh or Kaslik, which are common routes. The bus ride will take about 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive at the Jounieh bus station, you can either walk or take a local taxi to your specific destination within Jounieh.
Service Taxi (Sherut)
Another option is to take a service taxi, known as 'sherut'. These are shared taxis that leave when full and are typically found at designated taxi stands or along major roads. Head to the area near the American University of Beirut or Hamra Street. Ask for a sherut going to Jounieh. The ride will be quicker than a regular bus and costs a bit more, usually around 10,000-15,000 LBP.
