Bus
From Beirut, head to the Charles Helou Bus Station. You can take a taxi or walk to the station if it's nearby. Look for buses heading to Sidon (Saida). The journey will take approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at Sidon, you can ask for directions to the Historic District. Khan El Franj is located in the heart of the Historic District, just a short walk from the bus station.
Shared Van/Tourist Shuttle
You can also take a shared van or tourist shuttle from various points in Beirut. Look for services that advertise trips to Sidon. They usually depart from places like Hamra or near the American University of Beirut. The ride will take around 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Sidon, disembark near the Historic District, from where you can walk to Khan El Franj.
Taxi
If you prefer a more comfortable ride, consider taking a taxi directly to Sidon. You can find taxis in various parts of Beirut, especially around major hotels or tourist spots. Negotiate the fare before you start your journey. The drive will take about an hour. Once in Sidon, ask the taxi driver to drop you off at the Historic District, which is the main area where Khan El Franj is located.
