Getting There

  • Bus

    From Downtown Beirut, head to the Charles Helou Bus Station. Take a bus marked to Byblos (approximately 1 hour travel time). Once you arrive in Byblos, ask the driver to drop you off near the archaeological sites. From there, it's a short 5-10 minute walk to the Memory Of Time museum.

  • Taxi

    You can hail a taxi from anywhere in Beirut. Tell the driver you want to go to Byblos (make sure to say 'Jbeil' in Arabic - جبيل, if you can). The journey should take around 40-50 minutes, depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off at the entrance of Byblos, from where the museum is a short walk.

  • Shared Van

    Go to the main area near Cola intersection where shared vans are available to Byblos. Look for the vans that have 'Byblos' or 'Jbeil' written on them. The fare is usually cheap, and the ride takes about 1 hour. The van will drop you off near the Byblos archaeological sites, from where you can walk to Memory Of Time.
