Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Beirut, take a bus or shared taxi to Zahle. From Zahle, take a minibus to Anjar. The site is a short walk from the Anjar bus stop. Bus fare from Zahle to Anjar is approximately 5,000-10,000 LBP.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available from nearby cities such as Zahle or Baalbek. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which may range from 15,000 to 25,000 LBP depending on your starting point. The taxi will drop you off directly at the entrance.

  • Driving

    From anywhere in Bekaa, locate the Beirut-Damascus highway (M1 or Highway 5). Head towards Anjar, approximately 40 kilometers east of Zahle. Once in Anjar, follow signs to 'Anjar Citadel'. Parking is available near the site.
