Founded in 1999 by Nicolas Abou-Khater, a Burgundy-trained winemaker, the winery is situated at an altitude of 1100 meters, where the heritage of Phoenician and Roman viticulture still thrives. Following Nicolas's tragic passing in 2009, his wife, Roula, embraced the challenge of continuing his legacy, bringing her passion and expertise to shape the winery's future.Coteaux Du Liban is committed to showcasing the diverse terroirs of the Bekaa Valley through a minimal intervention approach in their vineyards. The winery produces around 80,000 bottles of emblematic wines every year. The vineyards cultivate a diverse selection of grape varieties, including Cinsault, Syrah, Carignan, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Viognier. Visitors can experience the art of winemaking with guided tours and tastings, immersing themselves in the flavors and aromas of the Bekaa Valley. The winery also crafts traditional Lebanese Brandy, Eau de Vie, and Lemoncello.The winery's location on the slopes of Zahlé, known as the "City of Wine and Poetry," adds to its charm and appeal. Zahlé itself is the capital and largest city of the Beqaa Governorate, offering a blend of cultural richness and natural splendor.
