Experience Medieval City Walls

Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Byblos Souk area, head northeast towards the main road, known as the 'Old Souk Street'. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with 'Beirut Road'. Cross the road carefully and continue walking straight. You will see signs pointing to the Byblos Castle and the Medieval City Walls. Follow these signs for about 10 minutes until you arrive at the walls, which will be on your left side.

    From Byblos Port, exit the port area and walk straight towards the 'Old Souk Street'. Turn left onto the street and keep walking until you reach the main intersection. Cross the street, continue straight, and follow the signs for the Byblos Castle. The Medieval City Walls are located adjacent to the castle area, approximately a 15-minute walk from the port.

    If you are near the Byblos Archaeological Site, head towards the exit of the site and turn right onto the main road. Walk straight for about 5 minutes. You will see the Medieval City Walls in front of you as you approach the Byblos Castle. The walk should take around 10 minutes total.
