If you are starting from the Byblos Old Souk, head northwest towards the old port area. Walk along the coastal road (called the Corniche) for about 10 minutes until you reach the entrance to the Royal Palace. The path is well-marked with signs, and you will see the beautiful Mediterranean Sea on your left.
