Start from the main square in Deir el Qamar, where you will find the famous Deir el Qamar Palace. From the palace, head south towards the main road (the one that connects to the highway). As you reach the road, turn right and follow it for about 1.5 kilometers. You'll pass by local shops and cafes, giving you a taste of the local culture. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the signs directing you to Maghdoucheh. Turn left at this intersection and follow the road for about 2 kilometers. You will see signs for the Basilica of Our Lady of Mantara. Follow these signs, and you will arrive at the basilica, which is located on a hilltop with a beautiful view.
Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from Deir el Qamar to Maghdoucheh. You can find taxis near the main square. Tell the driver you're going to the Basilica of Our Lady of Mantara (بازيليك سيدة المنطرة). The drive should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off near the entrance of the basilica, where you can enjoy the stunning surroundings.
Public Transportation
Although public transportation options are limited, you can catch a local minibus from Deir el Qamar to Sidon, which often stops in Maghdoucheh. Head to the main bus stop in Deir el Qamar, usually located near the town center. Look for a minibus heading towards Sidon and confirm with the driver that they will stop at Maghdoucheh. Once you arrive in Maghdoucheh, you can ask locals for directions to the Basilica of Our Lady of Mantara, which is only a short walk away.
