From Byblos Castle, walk southeast towards the main square. The Old Souq entrance is a short walk from the square, easily identified by its traditional stone archway and bustling atmosphere. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes and is free.
Public Transport
If arriving by bus from Beirut, get off at the highway bus shelter in Byblos. From there, take a service taxi (shared taxi) to the Old Souq in the city center. The ride is about 5-10 minutes, and the fare should be around 20,000-30,000 LBP. Alternatively, you can walk from the highway to the Old Souq, which is approximately a 20-30 minute walk.

From anywhere in Byblos, a taxi to the Old Souq is readily available. Taxis can be hailed on the street or arranged through your accommodation. A short taxi ride within Byblos to the Old Souq typically costs between 30,000 to 50,000 LBP, depending on the distance and traffic.
