Discover more about Pelter Winery יקב פלטר

Pelter Winery provides a unique glimpse into the world of Israeli wine. Founded in 2002 by brothers Tal and Nir Pelter, the winery began in a family home before moving to its current location in Kibbutz Ein Zivan in 2005. Tal Pelter's experience studying oenology in Australia influenced the winery's approach, focusing on producing accessible, high-quality wines. The Golan Heights provides ideal conditions for viticulture, including volcanic soil, a cold, dry climate, significant temperature variations between day and night, and high solar radiation. These factors contribute to the slow ripening of grapes, resulting in rich flavors and high-quality wines. Pelter sources grapes from the northern Golan, the Upper Galilee, and the Jerusalem hills. Visitors are welcomed into the production hall, where they can taste wines alongside the fermentation tanks and barrels. Pelter Winery produces a range of wines under the Pelter and Matar labels, including Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and méthode traditionelle sparkling wines. The winery also operates a boutique distillery, producing whiskey, brandy, and other liquors. Guests can also enjoy cheese platters featuring local goat cheeses, bread, and olive oil. On Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays, guest chefs offer special menus.
