Discover more about Les Vignes du Marje

Nestled in the picturesque town of Jdeidet Marjeyoun in South Lebanon, Les Vignes du Marje is more than just a winery; it's the realization of a long-cherished dream. Founded by Carol Tayyar Khoury and her family after they returned to Lebanon from Dubai, the winery stands as a testament to their passion for the land and their commitment to producing exceptional wines and spirits. The winery is located in a region with biblical roots; it is said that Jesus passed through the area and turned water into wine in the nearby village of Qana. Jdeidet Marjeyoun boasts a warm and temperate climate, with rainy winters and dry summers that create an ideal environment for grapevines. Since 2010, the vineyards have been cultivated with care, producing wines that reflect the region's heritage and terroir. Les Vignes du Marje produces five types of wine, including Le Vin Du Marje (rouge, blanc, and rose), Le Rouge Du Marje Red, and Couvent De M (Red Chateau). The winery has also expanded its offerings to include artisanal Arak, Gin, Vodka, and Limoncello, all crafted in a modern winery completed in 2021. Visitors can take tours of the winery, participate in wine tastings, and enjoy authentic Lebanese cuisine at the on-site restaurant. The winery has garnered recognition both locally and internationally. Its wines have received awards and accolades, and its Blanc was praised as an exceptional Mediterranean bottle by a renowned sommelier in Canada. Les Vignes du Marje has also become a popular destination for tourists, welcoming visitors from around the world.
