If you are driving from Metn, head south on the main road towards the city of Baabda. Continue straight onto the Beirut-Damascus Highway (M1). After approximately 25 km, take the exit towards Jezzine/Arnoun. Follow the signs to Arnoun, which is around 10 km away. Once in Arnoun, navigate to the coordinates 33.3241667, 35.5322222, where Beaufort Castle is located. There is no entry fee to visit the castle, but be prepared for potential parking fees in the area.
Public Transportation
To reach Beaufort Castle via public transportation, take a shared taxi (servis) from Metn to Sidon. The ride costs about 5,000 LBP and takes approximately 1-1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Sidon, transfer to another shared taxi heading towards Jezzine or Arnoun, which should cost around 3,000 LBP and take about 30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off near Beaufort Castle, located at coordinates 33.3241667, 35.5322222. Be sure to confirm the return trip as well.
