Tyre Beach, located in the historic city of Tyre, Lebanon, offers a blend of natural beauty and ancient history. The beach provides a tranquil escape with the backdrop of a city that was once a major Phoenician center.
Opening times, essentials, and a few local tips gathered into one calmer, easier-to-scan planning section.
Walking
From the city center, Tyre Beach is easily accessible on foot. Head west towards the coast, and you'll find the main beach area within a 10-15 minute walk. The route is straightforward, and you'll pass local shops and cafes along the way.
Public Transport
If arriving by public transport from Beirut or Sidon, you'll likely be dropped off at the Al Bass roundabout. From there, take a 'service' taxi (shared taxi) towards the city center and ask to be dropped off near the beach. The fare should be around 2,000 LBP. Alternatively, you can walk from the roundabout to the beach in approximately 25-30 minutes.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available throughout Tyre. A short taxi ride from anywhere in the city center to Tyre Beach should cost approximately 5,000 to 8,000 LBP, depending on the distance and traffic. Always confirm the price with the driver before starting your journey.
