Almona Gardens: A Druze Oasis of Tranquility

Getting There

• Public Transport

  To reach Almona Gardens using public transportation, take a bus to Julis from any major city in the Galilee Region. You can catch buses from Haifa or Nazareth, and make sure to check the current bus schedule. Once you arrive at the Julis bus station, you can either walk (about 15 minutes) to גני אלמונא by heading east on Route 85 and then following the signs to the gardens, or you can take a local taxi from the bus station to the gardens. A typical ride inside the city costs 8 NIS.

• Car

  If you are driving, head towards the city of Julis. From the main road (Route 85), take the exit towards Julis. Follow the signs for Julis, and once you are in the city, look for the signs directing you to גני אלמונא (Almona Gardens). The gardens are located on גני אלמונא street. Parking is available near the entrance. There are no toll roads in the immediate vicinity.

• Walking

  If you are close to the junction where the main road meets Route 4, you can start walking towards Julis. Head southeast on Route 4 until you reach the turnoff for Julis. Follow the signs for Julis, and continue straight until you reach the entrance of Almona Gardens. This walk should take around 1 hour, so be prepared with water and sun protection.
