Car
From Berea, take the main road towards Maseru. Follow the signs for Maseru until you reach the intersection near the Maseru Mall. At the intersection, keep left to continue on the main road. After approximately 12 km, you will see signs for The Lion Rock Mountain. Turn onto JGPQ+F22. Follow this road for about 5 km, and you will arrive at the base of The Lion Rock Mountain. Parking is available near the entrance.
Public Transportation (Minibus Taxi)
From Berea, head to the nearest minibus taxi rank and catch a minibus heading towards Maseru. Make sure to tell the driver your destination is near The Lion Rock Mountain. The fare should be around 10-15 Maloti. Once you reach the Maseru area, ask the driver to drop you off at the closest stop to JGPQ+F22. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 km to reach the base of The Lion Rock Mountain.
Hiking (from the base)
Once you arrive at the base of The Lion Rock Mountain, prepare to hike. The trail is well-marked, but it is advisable to wear sturdy hiking shoes and carry water. The hike will take about 1-2 hours to reach the summit, depending on your fitness level. Be sure to take your time and enjoy the stunning views along the way.
