Getting there

Walking

Start from the center of Maseru at the Maseru Mall. Head south on Kingsway Road towards the National University of Lesotho. After about 1.5 km, turn left onto an unmarked dirt road that leads towards the mountain. Continue walking for another 1 km until you reach the foot of The Lion Rock Mountain. The trail leading to the summit starts here.

Public Transport (Taxi)

From the Maseru Mall, take a local taxi heading towards the 'Maseru Bridge'. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the 'Lion Rock' stop. The taxi ride should take about 10-15 minutes. Once you get off, follow the signs for the hiking trail that leads up the mountain, which is approximately 20 minutes on foot from the drop-off point.

Bicycle

Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Maseru. Start from the Maseru Mall and head south on Kingsway Road. After 1.5 km, take a left onto the dirt road leading to The Lion Rock Mountain. The bike ride will take about 20 minutes to reach the base of the mountain. From there, park your bicycle and begin your hike to the summit.
