Car
If you have access to a car, start your journey from Gbarnga, the capital of Bong County. Head northwest on the main road (Robert International Airport Road) for approximately 45 minutes. Look for the signs indicating Bong Range, which is located near the town of Kpaytuo. Once you reach Kpaytuo, follow local directions to get to the base of Bong Range. Parking is available at the foot of the mountain.
Public Transportation (Taxi)
From Gbarnga, you can take a shared taxi to Kpaytuo. The fare should be around 100 Liberian Dollars (or equivalent) per person. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Kpaytuo, you may need to hire a local guide or taxi to take you to the base of Bong Range. Be prepared to negotiate the fare, which can vary depending on the driver.
Walking
If you're already in Kpaytuo, you can walk to the base of Bong Range. The trek will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace. Follow the main path leading out of Kpaytuo towards the mountain. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear as the terrain can be uneven.
