Getting There

Walking
From the center of Gbarnga, head towards the main market area. Look for 'Kpatawee' signs or ask locals for directions. Follow the road leading northeast from the market, which will take you out of the city. After about 2 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left path that leads to Lawe. Continue walking for approximately 4 kilometers until you see a small sign indicating the entrance to Kpatawee Waterfall. Follow the path marked towards the waterfall, which is about 1 kilometer from the sign.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Gbarnga. Start from the town center and cycle towards the main market. From there, proceed towards the northeast road leading out of Gbarnga. It’s a straight path for about 2 kilometers until you reach a fork. Take the left path towards Lawe. Continue cycling for another 4 kilometers until you spot a sign for Kpatawee Waterfall. Park your bike at the entrance and walk the remaining 1 kilometer to the waterfall.

Motorbike Taxi
In Gbarnga, find a motorbike taxi (often referred to as 'Okada'). Tell the driver you want to go to Kpatawee Waterfall. They will take you to the main market area first, then proceed northeast out of Gbarnga. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the fork in the road; from there, you will need to walk about 1 kilometer to the entrance of the waterfall.
