Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey from the city center of Gbarnga. Head south on the main road, Route 7. Continue on Route 7 for approximately 70 kilometers until you reach the town of Kakata. From Kakata, take the left turn onto Route 1, which is the main road leading towards Monrovia. Follow Route 1 for about 60 kilometers until you approach the Roberts International Airport area. Look for signs directing you to the town of Harbel. After passing through Harbel, continue on Route 1 for another 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for the road leading to Libassa Ecolodge. Turn right at the junction, and follow the dirt road for about 5 kilometers until you see the entrance to Libassa Ecolodge on your left.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking a shared taxi from Gbarnga to Kakata. The fare is approximately 5 USD and the trip takes about 1 hour. From Kakata, catch another shared taxi heading towards Monrovia. This journey costs around 7 USD and takes about 1.5 hours. Once you reach Monrovia, you can take a taxi or ride-sharing service to the Roberts International Airport area, which will cost about 10 USD. After arriving at the airport area, you will need to hire a local taxi to take you to Libassa Ecolodge. The taxi fare for this final leg is approximately 20 USD, and it will take about 30 minutes to reach the ecolodge.
