Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main town in the Western Region, such as Robertsport. Head southeast on the main road (Route 1) towards Monrovia for about 30 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the signs for Moa, which is located near the river. You will need to make a right turn onto a smaller road leading directly to Moa. The last stretch is unpaved, so drive carefully.
Public Transportation
To reach Moa via public transportation, take a 'kekeh' (motorcycle taxi) or bush taxi from Robertsport to the nearest junction on Route 1. It should cost you around 150-200 LRD. From there, look for a shared taxi heading towards Monrovia, which will drop you off at the Moa junction. Then, you can hire a local motorcycle taxi to take you the remaining distance to Moa. This portion may cost around 300-500 LRD. Make sure to negotiate the fare before getting on.
Walking
If you are already close to Moa and prefer walking, you can follow the riverbank path directly to Moa. Be cautious of your surroundings and ensure you have a map or a local guide to avoid getting lost.
Use Moa as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
