If you have access to a car, start from any location in Surt Desert and head towards Benghazi. Take the coastal highway (Route 1) towards Benghazi, which spans approximately 400 km and takes about 4-5 hours depending on traffic conditions. Make sure to keep an eye on road signs leading to Benghazi. Once you arrive in the city, follow signs to Northern Al Fwayhat area, where the zoo is located. There is usually parking available near the zoo entrance, but be prepared for a small parking fee.

If you prefer public transportation, look for a bus service or shared taxi (called 'louage') that operates from Surt to Benghazi. Buses usually depart from the main bus station in Surt. The journey may take around 5-6 hours and costs approximately 15-25 LYD. Upon reaching Benghazi, get off at the main bus station and take a local taxi to Northern Al Fwayhat. The taxi ride will cost around 10-15 LYD. Make sure to clearly mention 'Benghazi Zoo' to your driver.
