This revitalization ensures the stadium remains a premier venue for sports and cultural events in Libya.
Its former name, June 11 Stadium, commemorated the withdrawal of US forces from Libya in 1970.

Public Transport
To reach Tripoli International Stadium via public transport, take a bus heading towards Al-Hae Al-Senaea. Buses are available from various points in Tripoli. Travel time may vary, but expect it to take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Al-Hae Al-Senaea bus stop, walk approximately 10 minutes south along the main road. The stadium will be located on your right. Be sure to have some Libyan dinars ready for the bus fare, which typically costs around 1-2 LYD.

If driving from the center of Tripoli, head southeast on Al-Jawhara Street. Continue straight for about 3 kilometers, then turn left onto Omar Al-Mukhtar Street. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers, then turn right onto Al-Hae Al-Senaea. After about 800 meters, the stadium will be on your left. Parking availability near the stadium can be limited during events.
