    Discover more about Moleturm

The Moleturm, also known as the Friedrichshafen observation tower, stands as a striking landmark at the entrance to the city's harbor on Lake Constance. Inaugurated in September 2000 as part of a harbor renovation project, the tower offers visitors a unique vantage point to admire the surrounding scenery. Rising 22.25 meters (73 feet) high, the Moleturm provides panoramic views of Friedrichshafen, the expansive Lake Constance (Bodensee), and the distant Alps. The tower's design is intended to complement the Bauhaus architecture of the nearby Zeppelin Museum. Visitors can ascend the tower via a steel staircase with 117 steps to reach the observation platforms. The platforms can accommodate around 50 people each, offering ample space to enjoy the views. A panorama panel installed in 2010 provides a detailed overview of the Alpine chain. The tower has no elevator. The Moleturm has become a popular spot for couples to attach 'love locks' to the railing of the top platform.
