Forscherweg Malbun: An Alpine Adventure Trail

The Forscherweg Malbun invites young and old explorers to discover the natural wonders of the Alps through a series of engaging activities. This 1.4-kilometer trail features ten interactive stations, each designed to educate and entertain visitors about the local environment. Starting near the Schlucher-Treff at the entrance of Malbun, the path leads adventurers through diverse alpine landscapes, encouraging them to learn about the sun, clouds, air, and wind. Along the way, children can use magnifying glasses, rulers, and other tools to investigate the natural world. The stations are constructed from natural materials, primarily stones, blending seamlessly with the environment. Activities include solving puzzles, discovering plants and animals, and even trying a stone-table memory game. A highlight of the trail is the researcher's throne, offering a regal reward upon completion. To enhance the experience, explorer backpacks can be rented from the Malbun Center for a small deposit. These backpacks contain essential tools such as magnifying glasses, rulers, LED lights, a waterwheel kit, and a journal filled with questions and tasks related to each station. The Forscherweg is designed to be accessible for families, and can even be navigated with an all-terrain stroller. The trail typically takes around two hours to complete, making it a perfect half-day adventure in the Liechtenstein Alps.
