Getting there

Car

From Malbun, head west on the main road (Landstraße) towards the Malbun ski area. Continue straight until you reach the parking area at the end of the road. Park your car in the designated parking lot, which is generally free for visitors. From the parking lot, take the marked hiking trail that leads towards Augstenberg. The trail is well maintained and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to hike to the summit. Make sure to wear suitable hiking shoes and bring water.

Public Transportation

If you are using public transportation, first take a bus from Vaduz to Malbun. The bus departs regularly from the Vaduz bus station. Once you arrive in Malbun, you will need to walk to the main road (Landstraße) and follow the signs towards the Malbun ski area. Similar to driving, you will reach the parking area where you can start your hike. The walk from the bus stop to the trailhead will take about 10-15 minutes. The bus fare is approximately 3-5 CHF one way.

Hiking

Once you have parked your car or arrived by bus, locate the start of the hiking trail towards Augstenberg. The trail is well-marked with signs indicating the direction to Augstenberg. Follow the signs and enjoy the scenic views as you hike. The trail is moderate in difficulty and is suitable for most hikers. Be prepared for a hike of about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace.
