    From Buchs SG train station, take bus No. 790 towards Gams/Wildhaus/Nesslau and get off at the 'Werdenberg' stop (2nd stop). From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the Städtli and the castle. A single bus fare from Buchs to Werdenberg is approximately CHF 3-4. Alternatively, from Zurich Hauptbahnhof, take a train to Buchs SG (approximately 1h 10m, direct or with a change in Sargans). Then, take the bus as described above. A train ticket from Zurich to Buchs SG costs approximately CHF 35-70.

  • Walking

    From the Buchs market square (where free parking is available), it's a pleasant 5-minute walk to the Städtli and a 10-15 minute walk to Schloss Werdenberg. Follow the signs towards Schloss Werdenberg. The path to the castle leads up some steps and through vineyards.

  • Driving

    From the A13 highway, take the Buchs/Schaan FL exit and follow the signs towards Grabs and Schloss Werdenberg. Free parking is available at the Buchs market square, a 5-minute walk to the Städtli and a 10-15 minute walk to the castle. Limited metered parking is available directly at the entrance to Städtli Werdenberg (Restaurant Rössli). Parking fees at the metered spots are approximately CHF 1-2 per hour.
