Getting There

Walking
From Vaduz's main pedestrian street (Städtle), follow the marked path uphill towards Vaduz Castle. The path begins near the Brasserie Burg restaurant. The walk takes approximately 20-30 minutes and is quite steep. Along the way, you'll find informational boards detailing the history of Liechtenstein and the castle. There are no costs associated with walking to the castle.

Car
From the center of Vaduz, follow the signs for "Schloss Vaduz". Turn onto Feldstrasse from the main road (28). Continue past the Cellars of the Prince of Liechtenstein vineyard. Then turn right onto Fürst-Franz-Josef-Strasse. Continue along this road until you see Vaduz Castle on your right. Continue a bit past the castle to a parking area on Bergstrasse. Parking costs are approximately 3 CHF per hour.

Although there is no public transport that goes directly to Vaduz Castle, you can take a bus to Vaduz, Städtle. From there, it is a 20-30 minute walk up hill to the castle. LIEmobil buses connect Vaduz to other parts of Liechtenstein and nearby regions. A single bus fare within Vaduz is approximately 2-3 CHF.
