This tranquil oasis, easily accessible from Göfis-Hofen, offers a serene escape for both locals and visitors. Once a site of somber significance, Gasserplatz was the location of Vorarlberg's last public execution in 1864. Joseph Gasser, convicted of murder, was executed here, giving the area its name. Today, the area has transformed into a place of relaxation and natural beauty. The southern part of Gasserplatz is designed as a recreational area, inviting visitors to linger and enjoy the surroundings. The northern edge of Gasserplatz features an oak tree, estimated to be between 250 and 300 years old, standing at a height of approximately 30 meters and a circumference of about 3.5 meters. This ancient oak is protected as a natural monument. Gasserplatz is also a wetland area, recognized by scientists as a raised and transitional bog, providing a habitat for rare bog plants.
