Once a site of somber significance, Gasserplatz was the location of Vorarlberg's last public execution in 1864. Joseph Gasser, convicted of murder, was executed here, giving the area its name. Today, the area has transformed into a place of relaxation and natural beauty.
The southern part of Gasserplatz is designed as a recreational area, inviting visitors to linger and enjoy the surroundings.
