Driving
From Näfels, follow the signs west to Oberseetal or Obersee. It's a narrow, winding mountain road approximately 7km to the lake. Parking is available in a dirt lot near the Berghotel Obersee at the east end of the lake. Parking is free. On busy days, the road may be closed if the parking lot is full, requiring you to park in Näfels and hike up (approximately 4 km with 525m elevation gain).
Public Transport
From the Glarus train station, transfer to bus number 21 towards Glarus Nord and get off at the 'Obersee' stop. From the bus stop, walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the lake. A single fare for a short trip on public transport in the area typically costs around CHF 3-5.
