The sLandweibels-Huus, or Bailiff's House, is a captivating historical site in Schaan, Liechtenstein, offering visitors a unique window into the country's rich heritage. The ensemble of buildings is located near the Roman fort and the early Christian church of St. Peter. The oldest part of the building, a residential tower, dates back to the High Middle Ages. In 1562, it was expanded, likely for the then-governor Hans Schierscher. The building's architectural significance provides insights into the living conditions of Liechtenstein's ancestors. In 1988, it was placed under monument protection. A thorough renovation in 2006 prepared the sLandweibels-Huus to welcome the public for art exhibitions on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during the summer months. From May to October, guided tours are available upon request. In the "Tend" (barn), visitors can view a fully functioning hydraulic cider press from the post-World War I era. Once operated by Landweibel Ludwig Beck (1844–1928), the building's southern section housed his living room, which also served as a police station. Landweibels were predecessors of today's state police. Today, the sLandweibels-Huus is part of the Domus museum.
