The Heidiweg starts at the Maienfeld railway station and is clearly marked with red signposts. The path leads you through the historic town of Maienfeld, past charming streets and refreshing fountains. Leaving the town, the trail winds through vineyards on its way to Rofels and then ascends slightly to the Heidi Village (Heididorf). Here, you can explore Heidi's House, a faithful recreation of the home from the story, and experience what life was like in the 1880s. The trail continues past an old oak tree with a spiral staircase offering panoramic views. The Heidiweg then leads to Heidi's Fountain before winding back through vineyards to Maienfeld. The entire loop is approximately 6.5 km long and takes around 1.5 hours to complete. The Heididorf is open daily from March 15 to November 15, 10:00 to 17:00. Tickets cost CHF 13.90 for adults and CHF 5.90 for children aged 5 to 14. The Heidiweg offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature and literature.
