Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From the center of Jonava, head to the Jonava Bus Station located at Maironio g. 6. You can catch a bus towards Kernavė. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest timings. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Kernavė bus stop, walk northeast on Kerniaus g. for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Kernavės archeologinė vietovė.

  • Walking

    If you prefer walking, from the Jonava central square, head south on Vytauto g. towards the old railway bridge. Cross the bridge, and once you reach the other side, continue on the path that leads to the outskirts of the town. Follow the signs towards Kernavė which is about 10 kilometers away. This will take around 2-3 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

  • Bicycle

    For a more active option, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Jonava. Start at the Jonava central square and follow the road leading towards the countryside.
