Getting There

• Bus

  From the center of Klaipėda, head to the main bus station located at Maironio g. 10. Look for buses heading to Nida, and purchase a ticket from the kiosk or directly from the driver. The journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, and you will be dropped off at the Nida bus station.

• Ferry + Bus

  Begin at the Klaipėda ferry terminal, which is located near the city center. Take the ferry to Smiltynė (the ferry runs frequently). After arriving in Smiltynė, walk to the nearby bus stop and catch a bus to Nida. This option offers scenic views of the Curonian Lagoon. The total travel time is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, including the ferry ride.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle in Klaipėda and cycle to Nida. Start by heading towards the ferry terminal and take the ferry to Smiltynė. From Smiltynė, follow the marked cycling paths through the beautiful landscapes of the Curonian Spit. The total distance is about 50 kilometers, and it can take around 3 to 4 hours depending on your pace and stops along the way.

• Walking Tour

  If you're feeling adventurous and want to take a long scenic route, you can walk to Nida. Start at the Klaipėda city center and head towards the ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Smiltynė, and from there, follow the coastline and paths leading to Nida. This option requires good physical fitness and will take a full day, approximately 7 to 8 hours, but offers breathtaking views along the way.
