If you are driving from Samogitia, take the A1 highway towards Kaunas. The journey is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours (about 100 km) depending on traffic. Once you approach Kaunas, follow the signs for 'Kaunas Centre'. After entering the city, take the exit onto Žemaičių pl. (Road No. 140). Continue on Žemaičių pl. for about 5 km, and you will see the 9th Fort Museum on your right. There is parking available nearby, but it may incur a small fee.
