Getting There

Walking
Start from the central square in Šiauliai, known as the Plaza de la Libertad (Laisvės aikštė). From there, head northeast onto Vilniaus Street (Vilniaus gatvė) and continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with P. Cvirkos Street (P. Cvirkos gatvė). Turn left onto P. Cvirkos Street. After approximately 500 meters, you will reach the Šiauliai City Park (Šiaulių miesto parkas), which is a good place to rest. Continue through the park and follow the path leading out towards the northern part of the city. As you exit the park, keep walking straight until you reach the intersection with J. Basanavičiaus Street (J. Basanavičiaus gatvė). Turn right and continue for about 1.5 km until you see Salduvės mound on your left. It is marked with signs indicating its historical significance.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the central bus station in Šiauliai, take bus number 5 towards 'Rūpintojėlis'. The bus departs regularly, approximately every 20 minutes. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the 'Šiaulių miesto parkas' stop. From there, walk north through the park, following the trails. Exit the park towards J. Basanavičiaus Street (J. Basanavičiaus gatvė), turn right, and continue walking for approximately 1.5 km until you reach Salduvės mound on your left. Make sure to check the current bus schedule for any changes.

If you are able to rent a bicycle, start from the central square in Šiauliai (Laisvės aikštė) and head north on Vilniaus Street. After about 1 km, turn left onto P. Cvirkos Street. Ride through Šiauliai City Park (Šiaulių miesto parkas), then continue north until you reach the intersection with J. Basanavičiaus Street. Turn right and cycle for about 1.5 km. Salduvės mound will be on your left. Cycling is a pleasant way to enjoy the local scenery as you make your way to the mound.
