Car
If you are driving from Varėna, head south on the A4 road towards Merkinė. After about 20 km, take the exit towards Merkinė (signposted). Follow the road into the town. Once in Merkinė, look for the signs directing you to the mound. There's a small parking area near the base of the mound to leave your car.

To reach Merkinė mound using public transport, take a bus from Varėna to Merkinė. Buses run several times a day; check local schedules for exact times. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes.
