Getting There

  • Car

    From Trakai Island Castle, head south on the main road towards Trakai town center. After about 1.5 km, you will reach a roundabout. Take the second exit onto Vytauto g. After approximately 1 km, turn left onto Senieji Trakai road (the sign will point towards Senieji Trakai). Continue for about 2 km, and you will find Old Trakai Hillfort on your right. There is parking available near the hillfort, but it may incur a small fee. Be prepared to walk a short distance to the fort itself.

  • Public Transportation

    From Trakai Island Castle, walk to the nearest bus stop located near the castle entrance. Take bus number 3 towards Senieji Trakai. The bus ride will take around 15 minutes. You will need to get off at the 'Senieji Trakai' stop. From there, walk approximately 10 minutes northeast along the main road, and you will see Old Trakai Hillfort on your left. Make sure to check the bus schedule for return trips, as they may have limited service.

    If you prefer walking, you can take a scenic route from Trakai Island Castle to Old Trakai Hillfort. Exit the castle grounds and head south along the lakeside path.
