Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving within Atchafalaya National Heritage Area, get on I-10 E and take the exit toward Breaux Bridge. Merge onto LA-336 S/Breaux Bridge. Continue on LA-336 S for about 5 miles. Once you reach Breaux Bridge, turn left onto Bordelon Rd. The Atchafalaya Experience will be on your right at 1212 Bordelon Rd, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options are limited in the Atchafalaya National Heritage Area. However, you can take a Greyhound bus to Lafayette, LA. From Lafayette, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to reach The Atchafalaya Experience at 1212 Bordelon Rd, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517, which is approximately 15 miles away. Expect to pay around $30-$50 for the taxi or rideshare service.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, biking is an option if you're already in Breaux Bridge. From the center of Breaux Bridge, head south on LA-328 S and follow the signs to Bordelon Rd. The ride is about 3 miles and will take roughly 15-20 minutes. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.

• Walking

  If you are already in Breaux Bridge and prefer to walk, head southeast on LA-328 S from the center of town. Continue for approximately 3 miles until you reach Bordelon Rd. Turn right, and The Atchafalaya Experience will be on your right. This walk will take approximately 1 hour.
