Car
If you're driving, take Interstate 10 (I-10) toward Baton Rouge. From there, merge onto LA-3188 S and follow it for approximately 15 miles. Then, take the exit for US-190 W toward Lottie. Continue on US-190 for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 190 & Interstate 10. The Atchafalaya National Wildlife Refuge entrance will be on your right.

Using public transportation is limited in this area, but you can take a Greyhound or a local bus service to Lottie. Once you arrive in Lottie, you may need to use a taxi or rideshare service (such as Uber or Lyft) to get to the Atchafalaya National Wildlife Refuge, which is roughly 5 miles from the bus station.

If you are adventurous and have a bicycle, you can bike from Lottie. Make your way to US-190 W and follow it for about 5 miles. Please ensure you wear a helmet and follow traffic rules, as the roads can be busy.

Walking is not recommended due to the distance from Lottie and the lack of sidewalks. If you are in Lottie, consider arranging for a taxi or rideshare service to safely reach the refuge.
