Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, head towards Baton Rouge. From the I-10 highway, take the exit onto US-61 North (Scenic Highway) towards Baton Rouge. Continue on US-61 for about 2 miles. Merge onto North Boulevard and drive for approximately 0.5 miles. The Louisiana's Old State Capitol will be on your right at 100 North Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70801. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that some locations may charge a fee.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, you can use the Capital Area Transit System (CATS). Check the CATS website for routes that serve the Baton Rouge area. Routes 1 and 4 have stops near the downtown area, which is close to Louisiana's Old State Capitol. Once you arrive at a nearby stop, walk east on North Boulevard for about 0.3 miles until you reach the Old State Capitol at 100 North Blvd. A one-way fare on CATS is approximately $1.50.
