To reach BREC's Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center from downtown Baton Rouge, start by heading to the nearest bus stop serving the Capital Area Transit System (CATS). You can catch the CATS Bus Route 1 (Main Street) at various locations in downtown. Board the bus heading towards the Mall of Louisiana. Make sure to stay on the bus for about 30-35 minutes. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Coursey Blvd and North Oak Hills Parkway. From there, walk north on North Oak Hills Parkway for about 10 minutes. The nature center will be on your right at 10503 N Oak Hills Pkwy.

If you're comfortable biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local bike-sharing programs in Baton Rouge. Start from downtown and make your way to the Riverfront bike path heading south. Follow the path until you reach the intersection with Florida Blvd. Turn left on Florida Blvd, then take a right on North Oak Hills Parkway. Continue straight for about 3 miles until you reach BREC's Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center. It should take about 30-40 minutes of biking.
